In general, filled nylons are more stable and stiffer than unfilled nylons.

There are a wide range of variations available today; we are working primarily with carbon-filled nylons and are currently testing the printing of glass-filled nylons.

NYLON CARBON

Nylon filled with the lightweight strength of carbon creates a part that is strong, lightweight and durable. The material has a slightly textured, matte appearance.

POTENTIAL USES:

  • Ideal for anyone that desires a structural component with high modulus, improved chemical and thermal resistance, excellent surface quality, and ease of printing.

SPECIFICATIONS (CFR-Nylon):

  • Tensile Strength: 9,267 psi (pretty darn nice!)
  • Elongation: 4.04
  • Tg: 105º
