Rapid 2019 Recap

The Plural team: Shaun Mullaly, Ed Israel, and Matt Fildes ready for the open of Rapid + TCT 2019

From May 21 – 23, 2019, the Plural team was in Detroit at the Rapid + TCT show. We spoke to hundreds of people about the Plural advantages of 3ntr printers: large printer beds, open materials libraries, high temperature extruder, and the dry material handling system.

The 3ntr A2v4 making its Rapid 2019 debut. The v4 features higher temperature components for better surface finishes and the ability to print more materials like PEKK.

Making its 2019 Rapid debut, the A2v4 features higher bed and chamber temperatures than the previous v2 model. In addition, we launched the MMS v2 that keeps over 10 spools of material dry for quick change over and high capacity printing.

A headlight bucket prototype that saved two two tooling iterations.
We presented this at Rapid in a clear polycarbonate display case that represents the build area of the 3ntr A2: 600 x 325 x 500 mm

This is one of our show stopping parts. It’s a headlight bucket prototype created to confirm the form and fit for a commercial truck manufacturer. By prototyping a large part precisely, they removed two tooling iterations out of their development schedule. The injection mold part was milled correctly more quickly than ever before.

For Plural, the part demonstrates the advantage of a large 600 x 325 x 500 mm build area and the 3ntr capabilities for .

With the close of one show, Plural starts looking ahead to 2020 and beyond including the Rapid + TCT 2020 show in Anaheim, California. Where will you be April 20 – 23, 2020?
